LinkedIn post writers and the media will have you thinking all this chaos is new and “never happened quite like this before”…
Here is the thing. It has happened like this before, and it’s not new.
But it may be new to them.

This type of stuff has been happening for-eva.
When it first happened to me as a recruiter in 2000/2001…while I didn’t lose my job, I saw job openings disappear like the phone charging cords I bought when my kids were around.
I’ve been through three downturns since then. This video shared some things to do to feel better in this market.
Because we can’t wait for things to be good again before we feel better.
So don’t be surprised anymore.
